Due to the heavy rainfall in the Hakone area on May 17, the hot spring supply system at Ōwakudani—our source for onsen water—has been damaged. As a result, the amount of onsen water being supplied is currently reduced to about half of the usual volume. This has caused some instability in both the milky color and the temperature of the water. (However, the onsen is still available for use.)
While this issue stems from a natural disaster, we sincerely apologize to guests who were looking forward to enjoying the signature milky-white onsen water from Ōwakudani. We kindly ask for your understanding and patience during this time.
