The hot spring tax is not included in the room charge. According to local regulations in Hakone, 150 yen per person per night will be collected upon check-in.

Check-out: From 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM
*If you wish to check out before 7:00 AM, please let us know in advance so we can provide separate instructions.

For the safety and security of all guests, visitors are permitted only in the reception and restaurant areas.
Our facility is entirely non-smoking, except for designated smoking rooms.
Eating in dormitory rooms is not allowed.
Silent time begins after 21:00.
Daily cleaning is conducted between 10:00 and 15:00. For guests staying in private rooms, please display the “Clean Room” notice on the room door. For guests staying in dormitory rooms, free bed-making and bath towel exchange are available for stays of more than three nights. Otherwise, bed-making is available at 500 yen per time.
One child under the age of 3 can stay free of charge in a private room. Please note: If there is more than one child under the age of 3, adult rates will apply to the second and any additional children. Children aged 4 and up will be charged the same as adults. Please note that they can't share a bed with an adult.
Dormitory rooms are strictly for guests aged 18 and above. Guests aged 15 and under are not permitted to stay in dormitory rooms, even if accompanied by someone aged 16 or older. The minimum age to check in is 18 years old. However, guests under 18 may check in with written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
The hotel is not responsible for discoloring clothing, the loss of clothing and the time taken for washing and drying. Detergent can be purchased at the reception.
WPÜ HAKONE’s officers, directors, staff, or agents will under no circumstances be liable for any claim of injury, loss, damage, or any indirect or consequential loss or damage suffered by any person or a person’s property. Guests hereby indemnify WPÜ HAKONE against any claims that might be brought against it.
If a guest causes damage to the hotel, whether intentional or accidental, the guest must pay for the damage. The cost will be calculated based on the hotel’s price list.
Additional charges will be incurred in the following cases:
We encourage guests to take good care of their personal belongings and valuables. The management will not be responsible for any loss of items during a guest’s stay. Lost items found in guest rooms will be kept for three months from the date of discovery. Regarding food and beverages, please note that, for hygiene reasons, they will be discarded at the end of the day.
We shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and shall not engage in any conduct likely to cause unnecessary internal or external outflows of personal information.
Please note that the following conditions apply if you cancel your reservation prior to arrival.

Our reception is open for check-in from 15:00 to 22:00. Please notify us in advance if you will arrive after 22:00. After 23:00, staff are not on duty and check-in is not available.
