生息地 (seisokuchi) is an arts organising platform that supports a wide range of cultural practitioners such as artists, curators, writers and researchers in their projects in Tokyo. Starting from an Artists-in-Residence program in collaboration with WPÜ SHINJUKU, a cultural hub located in the heart of the city, we encourage the visitors to create dialogues between their practices and the local environment with a non-normative, informal approach.

Artist

Juliette Peres
Recording artist and electronic musician with over twenty years of experience. They are a researcher of archaeo-acoustic phenomena in prehistoric contexts, as well as the religious practices of pre-Christian peoples of northern Europe. Currently, they are interested in how archaeological theory can be applied to the creation of artworks and are in the process of developing a methodology for this approach.
Maximilien Hubert
Born in 1997 in Asnières-sur-Seine, is a Paris-based artist whose practice explores how we relate to the world and to the living beings with whom we share it — goats, dogs, snails, and beyond. She is currently a resident at Poush (Aubervilliers), where she deepens her research on performance, and at the 6B (Saint-Denis) in a collective workshop and exhibition space shared with Maximilien Hubert.
Lilium Redwine
Born in 1998 in Dijon in eastern France, lives and works in Paris. His work explores how territories function, particularly their environmental, social and spatial metamorphoses. Through a resolutely in-situ approach, he wants to relate these dynamics and share a present narrative.
