At some point, we find ourselves defined—by the family, the country, the gender, the society. Within these “frames,” we try to breathe quietly while still being “our true selves.” But one day, the thought strikes us: Is this the world that I chose to live in? “Running away” isn’t just an act of escape. It’s a journey to encounter another version of yourself. Leave the home. Cross national borders. Take a step beyond all the names given to you. This event is an attempt to “cross borders” through visuals, audio, performance, food, and art. Here, everyone is welcome to bring their own story of running away from home, your detours, escapes, drifts, and returns. Welcome to our Runaway. Welcome to a gathering of the undefined. A space with no roles or titles. A small, beautiful reunion with yourself.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Palestine. Through “Runaway”, we hope our voices and light reach those who can't return home, even if they have one.
