Nomadic musicians Nicoletta Favari and Christopher Salvito, known as Passepartout Duo, will present a workshop and concert at WPÜ SHINJUKU.
Working with instruments of their own design, including the Chromaplane, they explore a process-driven approach to music that moves between electronics and acoustic sound. Centered around layered rhythms and simple melodies, their work navigates the boundary between composition and improvisation, quietly gaining recognition across different parts of the world.
On April 2, the duo will host a 4-hour workshop introducing the basics of logic synthesis using their free tools (please bring your own laptop and headphones). Participants will engage with the fundamentals of music-making, culminating in a collaborative performance.
On April 3, Passepartout Duo will present a live performance, featuring their original instruments and live percussion, including selections from their latest release, Pieces from Places.
A two-day experience that moves from making, to experiencing, to listening.
Join us for a moment to engage with sound and process.
