Snow River Wines is a small winery based in Higashikawa, Kamikawa District, Hokkaido.
Founded in 2021, the winery creates approachable wines designed to be enjoyed around the everyday table. Known as a "borderless winery," Snow River Wines embraces a unique winemaking philosophy, crafting wines while moving between regions and countries around the world.
The wines are crafted in Nishimeya Village, nestled at the foot of the Shirakami Mountains in the Tsugaru region of Aomori Prefecture.
Using primarily 40-year-old Steuben grapes from the winery's own vineyards, along with locally grown grapes and other fruits from Aomori, the winery produces wines and ciders that reflect the character of the region.
