Discover the playful, expressive world of gel plate printing and create original artwork of your own.
Gel plate printing is a form of monotype printmaking: paint is applied to a soft gel plate — arranging colors, shapes, textures, and natural materials — before the image is transferred onto paper or fabric. Unlike traditional printmaking, which produces multiple identical copies, monotype creates a single, unique impression each time — even using the same colors and materials, no two prints ever come out alike.
In these beginner-friendly workshops, you'll experiment with color, shape, and layering before creating your final pieces on washi paper or fabric. No experience needed — everyone is welcome. We'll close each session by sharing our work and seeing how differently everyone approached the same technique.
All materials included — take your original artwork home with you.
